YAY. i'm finally back from perth. ok not that perth wasn't fun, but 9 days of paddling in the river when the weather is 13 degree celcius is NO JOKE man. my hands were like freezing and i was like wearing fbt shorts. can u imagine? fbt shorts and rash guard ONLY. its like paddling in ice water. and i did that for 28.8km. and the wind is like super strong. damn gross la. and it's super demoralizing to see the ang mohs breeze past us. BOOOO.
anyway it was definitely an eye opener. i was really impressed with the way they paddle, their techniques, rotation, forward catch, etc. and it's amazing how much strength they put in each stroke and yet seemed so effortless. i think their k1 women can EASILY lap our k2 lor. i feel so inspired to be like them. if i actually can la. it's quite depressing coz the canoeing scene in s'pore is pretty pathetic. they actually have an article on the 6 of us being sent to perth for world champs. the problem is, the article is REALLY SMALL. like seriously man. i think even the obituary photos look bigger. and they got the line ups wrong lor. tsk. not sincere at all. basketttttt.
SIGHHH i actually miss perth's way of life. everyone's so laidback and friendly. and i got to see jeremy everyday! wheeeeee. i think i'm the kind that gets homesick when i travel myself so it actually helps that he was there on the trip with me. makes me feel warm n fuzzy :)
ok i'm falling asleep. i'm deprived of sleep. we had to wake up at 7.30am EVERYDAY. ZZZZ.
ok sleeep.
