SHEEESH.

Woaaahhhh look at us go.
and look at how much i'm stretchingggggg! (err the front right rower beside boat 3)

don't you SOOOOO wanna be like us??

roll my eyes can.

by the way, the reason for the photos, and the super hao lian captions, is this:

Everytime you get on the water, you do it for each other, the canoeing girls don't. All they want is to beat the girl beside them. They might look as if they are friendly and nice, but inside each and every one of them is a competitive, individualistic, selfish persona, not even skipping a beat when they destroy each other.

sheeesh man. what's up with them??!

or how about this:

what you have is a great team. see the support you have amongst yourself. That is something the canoeing team does not have. You can think, work as a team. they can't. Thats why they need to use a dragon boat experience to help them "bond"you girls have a lot going for you.

and this, the FUNNIEST OF THEM ALL:

so in many ways you are above them.Winning isn't everything. And they respect you for what and who you girls are."Imitation is the Sincerest form of flattery."They want to be you. Do not aspire to be like them.

oh pls.

we do NOT want to be like them. trust me. like SERIOUSLY. did i not mention already that we like our well toned arms. i'm proud to be a true blue canoeist.

and excuse me?? joining a dboat race means imitation?? what kind of NONSENSE it that?? so if i join swimming, does that make me a joscelin yeo wannabe??

CRAZY.

i know it's mean for me to "curse" the canoeing team to lose. but i really have no other choice. to me... i really want a dragonboat team to win them badly. any dragonboat team will do... it meant alot to me coz at least it shows that i m in this sport for a reason. there's bound to be sumthing in dragonboat that canoeist cant do!!!!!

what do you mean no other choice. i'm sure u can always choose to support us right. which u all did when we went off to the starting point of the grand finals.

i was truly touched when the dboat girls cheered for us. but now i noe it's all for show.

u noe, i have thousand and one things to say. but i shall not.

i DID have respect for these girls. but den again, that's because i respect every athlete. and i believe every athlete should have good sportsmanship.

but what i see in these girls, are lack of sportsmanship. so what if we won them. our point was to bring glory to the school. and what was theirs?

we didn't have any malicious intent when we took part in the race. it wasn't like "WE MUST BEAT THE NUS DBOAT GIRLS IF NOT WE SHALL NOT CALL OURSELVES CANOEISTS!" *flexes muscles*

and if they wanna join us for canoeing, or take part in our races, we welcome them with open arms. we're not gonna say stuff like wah lau stick to ur own sport la.

there's no rule saying u can't compete outside ur core sport. besides, it's always good to have more competition because that's how u improve and know where u stand.

call us selfish, call us indivdualistic or lacking of team spirit, call us whatever u want.

but in the words of canoeists, or my coach bernedette, fast can already.

hey girl, just ignore them. as long as your conscience is clear, there's no point getting upset.

i won't say congrats on beating the nus dboat girls, but i would say congrats in doing nus proud cus i think u gals did a good job.

don't ask me who i am, or how i found ur blog, but i was a spectator during regatta. u girls not only look great (yes u are all very skinny), but u girls showed everybody what true athletes are made up of.

even if it wasn't ur core sport, what mattered was u all gave ur best. i'm truly impressed ;)
