Loooonnnggg entryyyyy.

MR500 is finally over with NUS clinching 8 golds and 6 silvers out of 8 events! i can't say yayyyy coz i'm feeling kinda sad that MR500 could possibly be my last race.

then again, i'm such a fickle shit. maybe the next entry i will be talking about my upcoming women's champs in May or Asian Uni Champs in July.

DIE LAR. at this rate, i might as well make canoeing my career. booooo. on one hand, i should just stop completely and focus on my studies and finding a job, but yet on the other, i wanna compete somemore. like how fuuunnn. oh well. it sucks to be in this limbo state of not knowing what to do.

but of cos it's not just the competition itself that's giving me this resistance to quit. i think that's like 20%. the rest comes from my love towards my teammates, the belongingness i have with the NUS team and how they're like a family to me. true, they annoy me endlessly sometimes with their uncanny imitations of me (esp ben the irrifart and dom the dugong), but i guess it can be kinda endearing too.

awwww. how sappy, but true. i'm gonna miss my NUS team. *sob*. it's weird how each batch brings along different memories. before this batch, i was closer to the girls of my age who had already left the team (e.g. weiyi, zhiling, val, xinning) and we had like numerous sleepovers. we even skipped school to go wakeboarding hurhur.
this batch was slightly different. the girls and guys were equally close and i'm surprised at how i can get along so fine with the freshies who hasn't even hit 20 and here i am, a wrinkly, anal 23 year old.

sighhhhhhhh. how time flies. i'm sad yet i feel it's time to move on.*sniffles* :(

ok la. i admit, we can be selfish and individualistic sometimes................when it comes to food. with people like ben, dom, jiansheng and nio who have appetites on par with pigs, and fights over food (specifically js and dom), it's not advisable to share food with them when u're starving.

the nus girls team!! i'm so proud of the freshies for their determination and never-say-die attitude. i can't say the same for myself when i was their age. i was like how nua. these girls will go far i tell you. they're out to destroy the world. (note: not each other)

yay my beloved partner whom everybody is probably already familar with by now. from being small fries back in our JC days, we've both come such a looonnnggg waayyy and shown how u don't need huge-ass muscles or be incredibly big to be fast.

before i get misterpreted AGAIN, i'm not implying that we're like dammnnn fast now or that we're daammnnn skinny la. it's a disadvantage in some aspects but just gotta work harder lor.

anyway, MR500 could possibly be our last doubles race together. boohoo. i'm gonna miss my mighty mouse. we do have our catfights here and there la, but which k2 pair doesn't? sighhh. it's the end of an era i tell you.

hurhur. ok i'm damn drama queen.

The T2 winners: that's yihui and peiying. yihui's the next up and coming mighty mouse! don't be deceived by her small frame ok. she's damn strong la. and that's peiying next to her. the one with all the scandals in the team. HURHUR.

The K2 winners: that's jen and jasmine. for the clueless, jasmine was my last minute marathon partner a few weeks back. she's like how power! and that's jen our captain, who's always making us do pull ups. she also another one la, so skinny and yet so strong. traumatizing man.

The K1 winners: weili and the bf. errr. and belle. ahahahah. belle's our team manager for the event and she's so sweeeet to write each one of us encouraging words . u tell me la, where got team manager so nice one.

and that's THE weili. his k1 is damn fast la. and he also says the funniest thing when u least expect it.

The bf and his partner, jiansheng. their first T2 race i think. they look damn salah in a T2. so funny hurhur.

Errrrr. i have no idea what to say. they're all acting spastic. like what else is new.

that's jen again, also my perfumes and cosmetics kaki. errr that's a module that we're taking, not coz we indulge in perfumes and cosmetics. we're not bimbos lor. we're both highly intellectual human beings, that's why we don't see a need to go for lectures.

andrea scares me coz she reminds me of terminator. u should see her in those adidas shades when she paddles. and she always scolds me in her loud booming voice. but she's damn cool when she paddles! i want also!!!! i look like a tortoise when i paddle la. booooo.

sighhhhhhhhhhhhh i'm gonna miss these guys. this may sound secondary school-ish but i can't find a better way to express how i feel towards the team: NUS canoeing team rawkssssssssssssssssss!
