YAYY.

and so i'm back from Taiwan and most probably my last overseas canoeing competition. which wasn't too bad because i think i ended my canoeing career quite nicely with a 4th placing in an international kayaking marathon.

yah larrr. 4th only, no big deal wat.

it IS a big deal for me considering how i hate competing in a K1 and how i almost ended up not going for this comp. it was actually a last minute decision because there were leftover spaces. hurrr.

the water was pretty gross though. like 1000000000000000 times choppier than ubin and kallang. my strokes were basically constipated throughout. i think it was a competition of who can prevent themselves from capsizing. kinda ironic though cos i capsize pretty often in macritchie.

anyhow, i was pretty happy with my placing when i finished the race but mr goh sorta dampen my spirit by going on and on about how i gave away my 3rd placing because of my poor sense of direction. he insisted that i paddled an extra 1km because of the detour i made by following the stupid recreation boats and allowed the boat behind me to catch up.

GOT 1KM MEH!!! RUBBBBISSSSH LOR.

bAaaaaaaaaah. so much for feeling proud of myself. i ended up feeling kinda depressed with all the what ifs and could have beens going through my head. like, whateverrrrrrrrrrrrr. i shall ignore him.

on a happier note, the bf did really well, coming in 2nd place and winning a whooping NT 30,000 cannn?? sounds damn alot rite but it's actually 1k+ sing dollars.

ok la that's still quite alot. but before anyone can think of robbing him, it's gonna be ALLL SPENT on my birthdayyyyyyyyyyy!!! australia, here we come!!!!

i'm kidding btw. all i want is a mantou cake. hurhurhur.

the trip itself was really fun. we didn't really get to visit the famous places in taiwan but we did get to try some of their food and have a taste of their culture. plus the pple who hosted the event treated us really well too with reasonable accomodations and meals. i actually liked the rooms that we stayed in. so cosy and the beds were like queen sized maaaaaan. and the opening ceremony actually had fireworks!! cool siaaaaa.

we saw the famous ping lang meis too! it's damn weird la. the girls were basically in their bras and underwears and sitting in those transparent cabins. macham fish tank like that. so funny.

yayy after this i'm left with women's champs, probably AUICC if it happens, and then i'll turn into a nuaing weekend paddler with fair, flabby and wobbly arms. wahhahaa.

i need to start looking for a job soon. i've got an interview tomorrow but i'm not really into corporate sales. and i have a whole load of financial adviser offers that i've been rejecting. sighhhhhhhhh maybe i shouldn't be too picky.
