so the ahm was rather badly organized cos there weren't any H20 available at all the water points till the very last 2km. zzz. and it doesn't help that there were tons of sweaty army guys shoving their way through. the nike run wasn't half as bad cos thanks to bill who sign us up under the 'yes we can run 10km under 50 mins', we were ushered to the front pack with lots of space and no shoving so it was a very spacious run, except for certain narrow turns but overall it wasn't too bad a run. and obviously we didn't run under 50 mins. the concert after that was pretty decent too. Utt is like HOW CUTE. omgggg. he was throwing out free ipod nanos of which one landed on the guy next to me. dammmnn. it's time like these i could have stretched out my ape-ish arms but obviously i was too stoned after the run.
4 more events till the end of the year. let's go xh. hopefully i have the discipline to train for all of them. esp the round ubin since i've not stepped into macritchie for like almost 2 month. my sources tell me my boat was recently ants-infested. gross. i seriously need to get my ass down to paddle one of these days but somehow, i always end up running/swimming. sorry bill. i think you might have to drag my fat ass for 20km. and it's a bloody T2. snooze. the last ubin race was downright traumatizing cos me and mimi sun sank not once, but TWICE and i remembered the helpers floating around in their stupid rescue boats were not the least bit helpful. this lazyarse uncle was like telling us it's against the rules to help competitors empty the boat so u can imagine, me and mimi sun half drowning and struggling to lift up a half submerged freaking T2.
what horrid memories. i would have bitch slap the uncle if i had the energy to reach out my arm towards him. raaaar.
so anyway. it's 2 hours to friday. yayyy. TGIF!

You are my running inspiration!
Any advise for my first 42k?
hahaha no la just that i've retired from canoeing so must find other means to keep fit sia. working life tends to make a person abit nua.
errrrr my first 42km last year was pretty bad!!i didn't train for it so i whack for like the first 25km then when i decided to stop after that the cramps started setting in and it was damn painful la. pure torture walking the last 17km hahaa.
i think it's quite hard to run the full 42km without stopping unless u really train for it. if not, just pace urself and run/walk at appropriate times if not your legs will just die. haahaa
and to think i want to run the entire 42. hmm.. hahaha.
Thanks for the advise. I shall see you there!
(Or maybe for drinks before that. Now, where is that jon?)
